4 on the 4th!

Happy Birthday, Bridger Dean!

He got his big present - a new BIKE! - early, so his actual birthday was mostly just about having fun, eating his special requested "strawberry horse cake", and playing with family. And of course the presents from them :)

Trying out his new bike the day we brought it home

                                          Big boy ♥

I think he likes it :)

And then on his actual birthday, we took a surprise trip to the wilderness center to feed the geese..

My kids love the rock collecting area

"Squeeze Hug" for the Birthday Boy!! Ha!

And on to feed those geese - that Mommy had to pretend NOT to be
afraid of.. even when they were closing in on me... ready to attack... and I'm sure they could smell my fear... *shudder*
Geese. No thank you.

A quick stop at the pit to find a souvenir

And then a pic on a rock... Show me your best Super Hero pose!!!

                                                            And 1 - 2 - 3 - JUMP!!

                              Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii - Ya!!!!

And then it was time for balloons, streamers, presents, and "strawberry horse cake" .....

 I think he approved :)

Waiting for some candles... (obviously I was taking WAY too long... Ha!)

 Center of Attention... hehe

                                  BLOW!

Haha... Mommy bought trick candles... so he needed some help ;)

 Cake time!

And after the sugar buzz wore off, it was time for bed.

But just before I went to bed that night, when all the commotion was over, I couldn't help but remember where I was 4 years ago. (Of course... what mom doesn't?)

Bridger was my second baby - but Holden was an emergency c-section. So, Bridger was my first natural vbac.

And that experience was the most incredible thing I'd ever done.

And while lots of it is kind of blurry...  I still distinctly remember the feeling right after it was over.
And he was on my tummy. And I had done it.

He was here.

And it was exactly the way I had wanted it.

And I just kept saying over and over, waiting for it to sink in... " I had a baby... I had a baby..."

And I don't care how old he gets... that amazing memory and feeling will never change.

I still had a baby.

He's just big now.

My Bridger Dean♥
